This recipe is VERY easy (I think) just a little time consuming

What You Need:
16 cups of strawberries~ about 1 flat
3 cups sugar
a kettle of boiling water
8 Pint jars

Recipe:
~ Put your strawberries in a LARGE pan
~ pour sugar evenly on top of strawberries and stir slightly to coat ALL berries
~ Let sit in a cool area for 5-6 hours
~ Prepare you canning jars
~ Get a pot or tea kettle full of water going to a boil
~ Transfer pan to stove top and heat on medium until all sugar is dissolved and strawberries are heated through, Stir occasionally
~ Start filling jars with heated strawberries and juice (make sure all jars are even)
~ Top jars off with boiling water if necessary to leave 1/2 inch of head space (strawberries should be covered in juice/water mix)
~ Tighten screw bands with fingertip tight
~ Process in water bath caner for 10 minutes
~ Remove lid and remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes
~ Remove jars from caner and set on counter, listen for the Ding of sealing

  5. Check Big Lots for jars also. They don't carry them all the time, but when they do, they are cheaper then Sweetbay.
