Tropical Storm Isaac

2 days before our big honeymoon trip I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off, scrambling to make sure there is bottled water, flashlights, a box with all our important papers, we are packed (for the trip), and everything loose outdoors is planted and/or brought inside and secured. People are starting to get nervous, grocery carts are filled with water, flashlights, and non-perishables, home depots checkouts are lined with carts of plywood and screws, and the city has started handing out sandbags.

People are nervous that this 1000 mile wide storm (thats 500 miles on each side folks) will become a large problem for us even if its 180 miles off shore like they currently have predicted. I am not scared or nervous just aware there is nothing I can change and I just want to be prepared! :)

  1. Just wait. There will be a hole and flood in our kitchen before next week is up, I'm sure.

    1. Dont say that!!!! :) Think positive!!!! Will a piece of wood help!?

  2. Hey 180miles means 320miles on shore. We have never fussed to much over storms. But it is still a good idea to prepare and keep an eye on it.

    Enjoy the honeymoon!
